My favourite modern band played a Teenage Cancer Trust fundraiser show. They were the youngest and most interesting band of the week. It was a sunny Friday night and somehow I was first in the queue to get a prime barrier spot. I made a mistake though and ended up standing directly behind the conductor of the NIA choir. I wish someone had told me in advance! There was a slight win as security wouldn't let her stand on a stool which would have completely blocked my view so she had to stand on the ground. I enjoyed the NIA choir as a one off but I think Young Fathers as a vocal unit are so powerful on their own that I only want to see them. I have also loved seeing the fierce femal duo of Kim and Amber joining the Fathers but only Kim was in attendance and now I worry that Amber is no longer part of the live group as she's not on the US tour either.
I got this video in landscape but had to hold my hands so high to go over the top of the head of Nicole the conductor! Don't mind a bit of hand action in this one. Enjoy Geronimo, the choir, the shadows against the backdrop, Alloysius getting down at the end of the performance.
