No recess for special TH RCI debate, at least 40 MPs set to participate

Описание: The Dewan Rakyat will hold a special sitting on August 11 to debate the Royal Commission of Inquiry report on Tabung Haji.

Government spokesman Datuk Seri Fahmi Fadzil said Speaker Tan Sri Johari Abdul has agreed for the proceedings to run without recess, with at least 40 MPs expected to participate.

Fahmi added the debate will be broadcast live on official media channels.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim announced the sitting to allow MPs to scrutinise the report’s findings and proposed reforms.

The move follows the Cabinet’s decision to declassify the report and enable enforcement agencies to pursue investigations based on its findings.
