Avalon will for sure surprise its followers. Full of new rhythms, Beltaine favours the freshness and sponta-
neity of this young Galician group, which tries this way to strengthen its own style, which is getting more
and more consolidated.
Defending its particular eclecticism, Avalon creates an atmosphere which takes in all the good of the
wide musical universe and gives free rein to a natural evolution which looks for a rupture with possible
classifications, in which they don't want to be included. Thus, in Beltaine, the shine that could be glimp-
sed in their first long-playing record, Lua Meiga, takes shape, so that each one of the twelve songs re-
presents a new way of understanding music.
During the last years, they were support band for Jetrho Tull, they played for the prestigious "lives" of Ra-
dio 3 (RNE) and Estudio 3 (Galician Radio) and they represented Galicia in FITUR (International Tourism
Exhibition). They also, together with RNE (Spanish National Radio), were the Spanish representation in the
International Folk Festival organised by the UER, which took place last July in Miskolc (Hungary).
Thanks to the excellent welcome of their Lua Meiga and Beltaine and to the great number of concerts
to their credit, Iria, Cecilia, Macarena, Deli and Patricia obtained the approval of both the critic and the
audience. Working in their new project, they'll appear as one of the solidest promises in the Spanish mu-
sical scene.
