In this Let's Play video, I will be playing Elven City Simulator (Steam Next Fest). This game is a survival city builder in which you awaken elven souls and assign them jobs to repopulate a dark world. Elven City Simulator has a unique story premise where the world is dark and you must revive Elven souls from the Great Tree to light up and save the world from a mysterious darkness. The usual gather wood, stone, food, and build up a small colony of course. It does have a "The Tribe Must Survive" vibe to it with the darkness ideas. What's different here is you only need to have buildings that provide some light for your workers (that does not require constant fuel) so the elves do not stay too long in the dark, otherwise they'll forget themselves and disappear. There is no night and day cycles. No fuel or fire to manage. There are a few bugs and tons of translation issues with the story texts. Keep in mind, this game is a Demo still and it's in very early development but it has a lot of potential. I'd Wishlist this game for now and keep an eye out for it later. It definitely needs more time to bake but the premise is interesting.
