Описание: Apostolic succession is the belief that the apostles of Jesus Christ appointed successors who also carried their special authority to guide and lead the church. This authority has been passed down through hundreds of years via the laying on of hands and the sacrament of Holy Orders. The Catholic Church considers the Eastern Orthodox Church, Oriental Orthodox Church, Assyrian Church of the East, and a few sedevecantist / schismatic groups like the Old Catholic Church and Polish National Church as also having valid apostolic succession. In this video I talk with my friend who is a volunteer youth minister at Calvary Chapel, a popular non-denominational low church Protestant group in the United States. We talk about the history of apostolic succession, the church fathers, and the archbishop Thomas Cranmer.
