Optimal method for creating nutrient-rich compost tailored for tropical plants is explored. Viewers are guided through a specific technique that can transform garden waste into an ideal growing medium, fostering vibrant and healthy tropical plants.
Don't throw away your garden waste into the green waste! Try trench composting to enrich the soil and your plants will benefit from the nutrients when the garden waste decomposes into compost. The nutrients will help my tropical plants thrive when they start growing again in the spring.
The Musa Basjoo Banana plants create a lot of garden waste. When it gets colder the leaves begin to yellow and I need to cut them off. When a Musa Basjoo Banana flowers it will soon die, and it will need to be cut down. Sometimes when the ground is saturated with rain and the winds are strong, the Musa Basjo plants will fall over.
It is easy to trench compost. Just dig a trench to bury all the garden waste near where your plants are growing. Throw everything into the trench and bury the garden waste with soil. The good thing is that you won't have to turn the pile. Just let it set for a month to a year and it will decompose to provide nutrients to your plants. I also plan to plant more plants and a good spot would be on top of the buried garden waste that is now compost.
