This is the first video in a series of videos where I will document the progress of salamander eggs hatching and watching the larva grow. I will try to make a short video each day documenting what I am doing, learning, observing, or just any general progress!
Follow along as I learn about salamander larva!
Before the salamander eggs hatch they start to go from looking like a dark sphere, to a dark curved line, as you can see in these videos. The eggs also develop a green tint over time. This is a natural occurrence of a symbiotic relationship between the unhatched larva (or embryo) and the algae.
