My friend loves to collect gnomes. She asked me to make her a crystal version 3 years in a row. decided this was going to be the year we made her a happy woman. My student London assisted me with this science project. We built the gnome using styrofoam, pipe cleaners, and rocks (weight). We then dropped it into a supersaturated borax solution. When the crystals formed, we shaped and
