Yeah even a good preflight check does not catch everything. That was the case with the Vmar Vstick here. The Vmae vstick elevator felt fine but once up it took all my trim and holding up elevator to get her back in one piece. The stock elevator control arm had loosened upon flight and was not getting anywhere near enough deflection.
