A roadmap for the next decade has been established, setting a target of 10 trillion yen in investment from Japan into India. Cooperation will be strengthened in multiple areas including a green partnership for sustainable fuels and battery supply chains, and an economic security initiative for critical sectors. It was stated that 'Japanese technology and Indian talent are a winning combination.' The partnership also extends to space, with cooperation on the Chandrayaan-5 mission. Further plans include a human resource exchange involving 500,000 people over five years and strengthening defence and maritime security ties to ensure a free, open, and rules-based Indo-Pacific.
