The episode is titled "Katie's Career." This episode is from the 12th and final season of the show. Don Grady does not appear at all in any episodes during the 12th season, but his song does. It's explained in the season's opening episode that his character is away in Peru working as an engineer. Tina Cole's character remains at home with their three sons, pining for her husband's return. She writes this love song and sings it in a local nightclub. If you remember this show at all, perhaps you'll remember this song. Perhaps you'll remember how moving it was and is and what a wonder voice Tina Cole has . . . Incidentally, off camera in this video at the piano is Gene Tyburn, who kept pretty busy during the 60s and 70s with guest spots on a host of TV shows and is lately composing opera librettos and the like. This video has been edited to eliminate as much of the ambiant clutter of sounds as possible. It was not always possible to eliminate everything, but I hope you'll enjoy it nonetheless.
