Over cookies and tea, reacting to the rapid erosion of the Humanities in a market-driven academy, Bloom warns: Without literature, “How will one think, how will one feel?” Heeding Harold’s marching orders, we head over to Yale in search of students who might still care about literature. It wasn’t easy! After wading through dozens of STEM majors, and a student who asked if “architecture counts” as literature, we have a magical encounter with two students who just might be the last two literature majors in America.
