The four main nursing fields in the UK are: Adult Nursing, Children 's Nursing , Learning disability Nursing and Mental health Nursing.
All the nursing fields are regulated by the NMC.
With experience and training, a nurse can specialise in different other areas like School nursing, Health Visiting, Occupational health nursing. There are specialist Nursing roles like TB, Oncology, Diabetes, Hepatitis Endoscopy, Sickle cell Nurse specialist and many more.
Whatever happens in the world, the world will always need nurses. And if doctors are the rock stars of the medical profession, then nurses are the crew that holds it all together. Without the courage, tenacity and brilliance of nurses, doctors simply wouldn’t be able to do their jobs.
