Lil Rev presents his arrangement of the old North Carolina Folksong Asheville Junction (Swannanoa Tunnel), for Dulcimer Player News and his Dulcimer-Lore Column.
This version is in D-A-C tuning, and is being played on a folkcraft pro model.
This cool 2 chord Folksong has been recorded by many folks over the years including Paul Clayton on dulcimer for Folkways, Bascom Lumar Lunsford for Folkways and Billy Strings on You Tube to name a few.
Rev’s version includes the basic melody, an arppegiated intro, bass string variation, a romp up the neck, a cool bluesy harp part, and an interesting tremolo ending.
