Описание: Thom Tran is a stand-up comedian, actor, musician and keynote speaker based in Los Angeles. A combat-wounded U.S. Army veteran, he draws directly from his life-changing experience in service to build a comedy career that blends irreverent wit with story-telling, resilience, and real-world purpose.

After enlisting at age 18 and serving as a Communications Sergeant and Civil Affairs Sergeant in the United States Army Special Operations community, he deployed to Iraq in 2003 where a sniper’s bullet ended his combat tour and ultimately his role as a soldier.

Following his medical retirement in 2005, Thom turned to stand-up comedy as part of his own healing journey. He moved to Los Angeles in 2008 and in 2010 founded the comedy troupe The GIs of Comedy — a “comedic troupe of troops” which tours nationally and internationally performing for service-members and civilian audiences alike.

On stage and off, Thom weaves together veteran-life anecdotes, pop-culture references, rock-and-roll sensibilities (he’s also a guitarist and band-leader) and universal themes of identity, purpose, survival and laughter. His growing acting credits include appearances on Bosch: Legacy, and the film My Dead Friend Zoe opposite Morgan Freeman.

As a speaker, Thom engages audiences with a unique mix of humor, authenticity and military-to-mainstream transformation. He speaks on topics such as leadership, resilience, transition and the power of laughter.
