Описание: Tuesday evening brings on "Route 66", which was composed in 1946 by American songwriter Bobby Troup, husband of Julie London. It was first recorded in the same year by Nat King Cole. Organist Jackie Davis and his drummer Weedie Morris used to do this song in the clubs all the time. I first heard them play it in 1962, in Syracuse, N.Y. Our family has been blessed to have driven on parts of old Route 66, from the state of California to the Mississippi River, with the song in mind. It was part of a little Road Trip of some 7,500 miles one Summer. Beat Generation poet Jack Kerouac knew about being "On the Mother Road", and so now we fire up the drawbars to get those Leslies turning, as we get "Hammondized" on the pavement one more time. "Life is Good", baby... put it in gear. 8/3/2021.😎🎹🌴
