Описание: White material deposited over tonsil surface (Tonsil stone) is often due to shredded epithelium within the crypts of tonsils . It is usually a chance finding. Occasionally, it may be source of foul smell or infection. Often no treatment is required for this condition unless it is associated with tonsillitis.
It can be manually expressed out or these can come with vibration of gargles with warm saline. If it does not, then ENT doctor can remove this at his/her office. Rarely these requires some surgical procedure (Cryptolysis with coblation or radiofrequency) and very rarely Tonsillectomy.
