“Huron is one of the oldest companies in the machine tool and mechanical industry,” Troia shared. “Our first work was retrofitting the clock of Strasbourg #Cathedral. Later, we built steam trains, and for that, we had to develop machine tools. The steam train business disappeared, but the tools are still here, and that’s what we continue to produce in #Strasbourg.”

The company’s modern identity took shape when Graffenstaden merged with Huré in the early 20th century, carrying forward Leon Huré’s pioneering universal milling concept and introducing the iconic Native American Indian head logo in 1919. As Troia put it, “It’s not only company history, it’s people’s history,” reflecting the region’s industrial traditions, which have nurtured generations of #skilledmechanical talent.
