I’m out on a hunt with the Western Airguns Rattler .357 Semi-Auto PCP air rifle, which I believe is the Best in Class. We head down to Texas for one of my favorite spot and stalk hunts…..javalina! We’ll start off with a quick check of zero, then out for the hunt. Many thanks to Airguns of Arizona for the loan of the Rattler!
This one was a cat and mouse game over 2 or 3 miles of brush, before I finally intercepted a squadron near an old corral with a water trough. I had a Leapers Integrix 1-8 scope with a Tactacam 5.0 FTS mounted for my optics and recording.
Check the video for details, but I will say the Rattler is an impressive rifle, accurate, powerful, and fast cycling. I have a feeling I'll be writing a check with this one! I focused on the NSA 142 gr HP for this hunt, but there will be a follow up video soon in which I test several different projectiles while fine tuning the power settings to optimize performance with each.
