Velocity based training is one of our favorite methods of gaining insight and feedback to our athlete's lifts. It's extremely versatile and allows for instant understanding of movement patterns, performance increases/decreases, fatigue, etc. There are plenty of ways to implement VBT into your training, whether you're using it to track velocity for 1 repetition or for any number of repetitions until velocity falls off, trying to find appropriate load for your velocity goal, or even as I mentioned earlier, using it to gauge fatigue.
