Anime is host to some of the most op villains in fiction. The strongest anime characters and the most op anime villains often find themselves going head to head with only one able to come out on top. But what many people wonder is who is the strongest anime villain? With so many shows with different abilities and levels of power, it can be hard to gauge.

But which ones absolutely break the universes that they are in? Of course, if this list was merely the strongest period it would be full of Dragonball super, but comparing the overpoweredness of these characters is much more fun!

Boros from One-Punch Man is a strong contender for one of the most overpowered anime characters as Saitama was the only hero that would have had a chance of defeating him.

Meruem from Hunter X Hunter is another character that was absolutely busted in that world- There was no question that he was too strong for nearly all of the cast.

And who could forget Aizen, one of the most cunning and manipulative Bleach villains around?

All of these characters have a good claim to being the strongest anime villain in their respective series, but not all of them are so OP to be one of the top contenders.
