Описание: All of Gulf World Marine Park's rough-toothed dolphins were stranded and deemed non releasable by the federal government and now call Gulf World home. Astro is a male rough-toothed dolphin and he stranded in Surfside Beach, Texas in 2005. Astro was deemed non releasable due to significant hearing loss. Astro's tail has a curve in it, this is scoliosis. Like humans, dolphins can get scoliosis too. Astro came to Gulf World with this condition. It does not impair his swimming and he receives therapy every day. Astro's therapy regimen is varied daily but includes chiropractic care and laser treatment periodically.
