In today’s video I talk about why I still chose to buy the iconic Dean From Hell — even with all the racial controversy surrounding some of Pantera’s history.
As a guitarist and creator, I’ve always separated the instrument and the art from the mistakes of individual people. The DFH isn’t just a “Pantera guitar”… it’s a legendary piece of metal history, a tone monster, and a huge part of the sound that inspired a whole generation of players (including me).
I don’t support or excuse any of the problematic things that happened in the past — I’m just here for the music, the craftsmanship, and the impact the guitar itself had on the metal world.
