The Gatling gun was the first reliable machine gun ever designed and put into use. It made its debut during the Civil War and fires off a crapload of rounds per minute. A dude in Bavaria named Joerg Sprave re-created the weapon out of Coke bottles by trapping compressed air in six plastic bottles to create an automatic revolving arrow launcher.
