Major Breakthrough: Fake Call Center Racket Busted

Zirakpur Police have busted a fake call center operating from Global Business Park and arrested six individuals allegedly involved in defrauding foreign nationals. The accused were reportedly running the call center under the name "Hometown Travel" and posing as travel agents to scam overseas customers.

According to the police investigation, the accused used fake identities and misleading information to contact people living abroad. They allegedly lured victims with offers related to various travel services and then extracted money from them through fraudulent means.

The arrested individuals are said to be residents of Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, and Jammu & Kashmir. During the raid, police recovered five computers, one laptop, and other digital devices from the premises. The seized equipment is currently being examined as part of the ongoing investigation.

Zirakpur Station House Officer (SHO) Satyendra Singh stated that the accused are being questioned and will be taken on police remand to uncover the full extent of the network. Authorities believe further interrogation may reveal additional members involved in the fraud racket.
