Legal Learning: Victims' Rights in Florida 2023

Описание: In this Legal Learning video, Coast to Coast Legal Aid of South Florida (CCLA) explains Florida law as it relates to victims of crime. The Florida Constitution gives victims of crime certain rights. Some rights happen automatically at the time of victimization, but some rights, a victim needs to assert. CCLA's two victims' rights attorneys explain the law, who is considered a "victim", domestic violence, elder abuse, the rights themselves, and why victims should consider having an attorney. CCLA has attorneys to assist victims of crime assert and enforce their victims rights in the criminal cases against their abusers. We focus on victims of intimate partner violence, domestic violence, and seniors who have been victims of crime.
