Going one step further in Advanced Flexible Use of Airspace

Описание: By sharing the Real-Time Status of Airspace (RTSA) information, through B2B, an improved Collaborative Decision Making (CDM) process between Civil and Military authorities, the Network Manager (NM) and Airspace Users (AU) will allow improving flight operations by optimizing in real-time flight trajectories.
Going one step further in the Advanced Flexible Use of Airspace (AFUA) concept, the common situational awareness brought by RTSA will generate additional capacity for civil traffic, improve safety, reduce direct and indirect Air Traffic Management (ATM) related costs, such as resources allocation, fuel consumption and have a positive environmental impact by reducing CO2 emissions.

The SESAR Advanced Flexible Use of Airspace (AFUA) concept is about sharing Real-Time Status of Airspace (RTSA) information between Civil and Military. Run through an improved Collaborative Decision Making (CDM) process, it should allow improved flight operations by optimizing real-time flight trajectories, therefore generating additional capacity, improving safety, reducing costs, fuel consumption and CO2 emissions.

From 9 to 11 June, a validation exercise evaluated this sharing of information between Civil and Military authorities, the Network Manager (NM) and Airspace Users (AU).
