We had a great summer sailing in Italy. I learnt a lot!
I started as a complete novice, but by the end of the season I was quite comfortable living on a sailing boat and being at sea.
Our little sailing boat was only 25ft (7.5m) but we managed a wonderful 12-day trip to the islands of Capraia and Elba, in Tuscany. We also did a 6-day sailing holiday to Portofino and Santa Margherita.
This video was shot in the beautiful village of Le Grazie, in the Gulf of La Spezia, in Liguria, northern Italy. Very much worth a visit.
Le Grazie was where I slept on a boat for the first time. We then got our anchor stuck in the morning!
