During Milano Design City UniFor presented, from the historic showroom in Corso Matteotti 14, a live conversation, via Zoom, between architect Tobia Scarpa and Francesca Molteni.
The occasion was provided by the large oversized table, originally designed by Afra and Tobia Scarpa for the inauguration of the showroom in 1989, which for the first time returns to the spotlight thanks to the installation by Ron Gilad.
From the totemic table it was natural to go on to talk about the UniFor space renovation project in Milan at the end of the 1980s, when Afra ad Tobia Scarpa made room for “decor” understood in its dual meaning, both as social recognition (decorum) and as aesthetic embellishment.
