Biosolids is a term used for several types of treated sewage sludge that is being advertised and sold as soil conditioner and fertilizer.

While treated sewage sludge has long been used in agriculture, fresh concerns about disease risks from pathogens, as well as the recent discovery that thousands of toxic chemicals are contaminating biosolids, are forcing people to question whether this practice was ever a good idea at all.
