Jeow Mak Keau is similar to the Nam Prik Mak Keau dishes served in Thailand. This is a popular dish in the isarn area of Thailand, and has recently become one of my favorite Thai dishes.
It has a nice, savory flavor without being overpowering. This recipe is meant to be easily made by folks who live in regions of the world that don't have all the ingredients that are easily available here in Thailand, but the flavor is just as good, and is actually the way I prefer to make it even here.
I've been wanting to do a recipe video for a long time, but wanted to make sure I was able to make it consistently well before attempting one for this recipe. Now, I feel confident that I've done it.
