But here’s the catch—before you bring someone in to lead your sales team, you must know how to sell. If you’re the founder or CEO, you must be the best salesperson in the building.
You have to create the messaging, define the target, set the example, and close the first 10 deals yourself.
Only then will you know what kind of sales manager you need. Sales is too important to outsource blindly.
