My first Afghan song composed by Afghanistan’s legendary musician and song writer, Taher Shubab. Lyrics by famous poet, Ashkare and Tahir Shubab. Directed & produced by me. “Zange Khatar” is a deep and meaningful song about the current situation of Afghanistan where women and children do not have rights to an education and work, due to the change of poliical regime when the Taliban ruled over Afghanistan. I wanted to sing a song about the constant sorrows of our country and to bring awareness by using artistic expression about the current situation. I am an artist who uses music as a platform to advocate my voice for my people, predominantly our women.
