A ten-year-old girl is in a critical condition after being struck by lightning on the Sunshine Coast as Queensland battled wild weather. Paramedics were called to a home in Beerwah before taking the child to hospital. On Friday a man was found dead near fallen power lines in Brisbane as powerful storms battered the south-east. The Bureau of Meteorology says that the wind gusts were briefly stronger than Cyclone Jasper.
