Make daily scripture writing part of your quiet time. Data shows we retain information better when we write it down. Simply write out a verse a day, or add a little creativity flare by using a few different pen colors and widths.
In this video I use a standard black pen, a colored highlighter and a colored fine tip for accenting. Here are some tips for fun lettering.
Read through the verse and decide which words stand out to you.
Vary the size of your lettering; small or large.
Vary the style of your lettering; print, script, block.
Vary the letter width using a chisel tip pen; wide or. narrow.
Add accents to words; outlines, shadows, highlights.
Have fun!
Making scripture writing a daily habit will become a part of your quiet time that you look forward to and can create a journal you read for years to come.
