With "So Long" (You Know Me), I set out to create a deep and layered track, and I embraced a significant vocal challenge: crafting a rich, multi-part chorus that evolves through every repeat.

Hopefully you’ll notice how I gradually added the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and even 5th voices during the choruses, building an expansive and emotional choral effect.
For each chorus, I added an additional harmonic voice.

The main difficulty, and my primary focus, was getting the precision and harmonic integrity right across all those vocal layers.

An essential and beautiful dimension is added through the collaboration with Eva Aivess, whose female vocals enrich and elevate the soundscape.
I was thrilled that she let me use her vocals in this song, which resulted in a subtle yet powerful enhancement of the song.

The lyricism of "So Long" reflects my contemplation of life's inevitable transience and impermanence. When I sing: "So long so long, in the stillness of the night, you are fading out of sight," I am symbolizing the gentle, yet certain, passing of all things temporary.
Yet, within this farewell, I find an unwavering core of constancy.
The reassuring phrase "I know you and you know me" points toward the rare, dependable truths and connections that resist the erosion of time.

It is my musical exploration of letting go, tempered by the insight that some things, by their very nature, are here to stay.
