Описание: Ph.D. student Adriane Faust explains her experimental work on building a superconducting helicon thruster, a new propulsion system for sending probes on extended missions into deep space.

Her work is conducted in collaboration with Dr. Ray Sedwick, director of the Space Power and Propulsion Laboratory (SPPL) in the Department of Aerospace Engineering at the University of Maryland.
