Changes in the environment such as humidity or excessive moisture can damage or even warp reeds which are made of natural fibrous cane, but luckily there is the Vandoren Hygro Reed Case. It stores up to six of your reeds in a humidity controlled carry case. By opening the bottom of the case you will find a small round sponge indicator and by only adding just a couple drops of water, your reeds will be protected from the outside environment. The open case design actually allows air to flow through the compartment in a humidity controlled environment without damaging your reeds. The HRC10 holds up to six of your Eb or Bb clarinet reeds or soprano and alto sax reeds while the HRC20 will hold up to six tenor sax, bass clarinet or baritone sax reeds.
