2026 Duel in the Desert Palm Springs CHEER Competition!

Описание: Welcome to Duel in the Desert in Palm Springs!!

This is the first time our gym has been to this competition - the weather was beautiful - we left rainy Seattle for sunny California and it did not disappoint! When the girls weren't competing they were either swimming and laying out, OR we were at a restaurant! My friend who is a local recommended 849, so we tried that place for dinner. It was so cute and trendy, and I would definitely go back!

This competition was a little rough for Storm - nearly half the team was sick (I didn't actually know this until after we competed on Day 2, both Larissa and Lauren we fine). That said, the scores reflected it, and it's so unfortunate for these wonderful girls. So proud of them all for pushing through even though I KNOW they didn't want to because they felt gross.

This comp blended D1 & D2, and the minute my two girls saw "Top Gun" in their division, they already felt defeated. All the teams in the Medium J1 Flex division are so good; but all 5 of the teams had relatively similar scores in past comps, so it was good competition. We will likely see the D2 gyms in our division at Summit this year! (At least we know what we're up against!)

The girls both handed out blinged Good Luck Cheer Ducks to two athletes; Lauren gave hers to Olivia on California Allstars Sparkle and Larissa gave hers to Emma on California Allstars Jade! It turns out that Olivia used to cheer at our gym!! They were both thrilled to get one of these ducks! (Pictures on each of Larissa and Lauren's social media accounts!)
