Giorgiana was a 60s model 42ft Aluminum Stryker...Awesome dive boat and we made many dives off of her throughout the years. We decided to make a artificial reef out of her when she became not seaworthy. But she decided to sink on her own before we could get her to the proper location....So it took another year to get ourselves organized to float her and relocate the boat. After we moved her...she decided to move three more times....Then we had a huge Tropical Storm...Nate, in 2017. She completely disappeared ....And on this day in December 2019...with my daughter and one of my long time friends...we found her. One of the local fishermen said that they knew where she was...so we lined up this land mark with that land mark and dropped anchor. We descended to 90 feet and connected our reels to the anchor and to each other...then reeled ourselves out. Then we hear my friend rattling away and jerking on the line....There she was sitting in 98ft in three big pieces. Such a special moment.
I look forward to our next visit...
