In this video I cut off rusty sheet metal from a classic BMW touring wagon. Instead of using an angle grinder, I discovered a more precise method of cutting out rust. I used a Dremel metal cutting EZ lock disc set along with a Ryobi rotary tool, total cost around $100 USD. Always use eye, ear, face and body protection when cutting like this. I also used a P100 particulate filter on a 3M respirator to protect from any dust.

The cut-off sections were rebuilt with fiberglass and fiberglass reinforced body filler. Then, it was sanded and further refined with lightweight body filler and primer. My intent was to make a lasting repair that would take this car from 193,000 miles to 293,000 miles - but not a professional restoration by any means.
