Chaos Theory. Very interesting subject. Nearly every image in this work is related chaos mathematics in some way. Turns out it governs most of what surrounds us and has only been around since the 1960's and the advent of computers. It pervades nearly every branch of science and very simply explains complex patterns, geometries and natural phenomena which had been previously bewildering to scientists and mathematicians alike.
Wikipedia says: "Chaos theory is applied in many scientific disciplines, including: geology, mathematics, microbiology, biology, computer science, economics, engineering, finance, meteorology, philosophy, physics, politics, population dynamics, psychology, and robotics.
Chaotic behavior has been observed in the laboratory in a variety of systems, including electrical circuits, lasers, oscillating chemical reactions, fluid dynamics, and mechanical and magneto-mechanical devices, as well as computer models of chaotic processes. Observations of chaotic behavior in nature include changes in weather, the dynamics of satellites in the solar system, the time evolution of the magnetic field of celestial bodies, population growth in ecology, the dynamics of the action potentials in neurons, and molecular vibrations."
I believe it applies to human experience and the human condition as well. It's how we navigate this existence, as a species and as individuals. We understand reality through what is called "Recursive Self Similarity" That is why all snowflakes are different, but they are still recognizable as snowflakes, why no two fingerprints are alike but everyone has a fingerprint, why the weather man is still sometimes wrong, and why history strangely seems to repeat itself. It's why no one can predict the future but you're nearly certain that you'll wake up tomorrow and go to work, just like you did today.... and you probably will, unless you get hit by a bus. Chaos theory accounts for all this and more.
Do not confuse Chaos with Randomness. This is a common mistake. Chaos inherently promotes order, it is simply unpredictable as to how exactly that order unfolds.
Someone once asked me to draw a picture of God.... I realized immediately that it could not be done without music.
So turn up the volume, bang the bass and see what's really going on..
