We’ll also examine Shayne lee’s latest publication, Erotic Revolutionaries: Black Women, sexuality, and popular Culture. Lee asserts that black females like Wanda Sykes, Lil Kim and academy award winner Monique are in the vein Martin Kuther King, Jr. -combating oppressive systems of injustice like homophobia and sexual puritanism. “ Erotic Revolutionaries seeks to inject a little humping and pumping into sociological analysis “ We’ll ask Lee how this sexual injection will improve things for black females and what his work does to counter the global empire of White Supremacy
