About Families Helping Families of Southwest Louisiana:
Families Helping Families of Southwest Louisiana is Southwest Louisiana’s only one-stop shop for all things disability related!

Families Helping Families of Southwest Louisiana is a local family resource center that has served individuals with disabilities and their families since its incorporation as a nonprofit agency in 1992. We provide peer to peer support, information, referral and training around disability issues in the Louisiana parishes of Allen, Beauregard, Calcasieu, Cameron and Jeff Davis.

What we do at Families Helping Families of Southwest Louisiana:
• We answer questions and provide assistance to those with disabilities/special health care needs and their families across their lifespan.
• We can teach you how to advocate for your child and over time your child will learn to advocate for his or herself.
• We help you navigate support systems and overcome challenges.
• Our trained, knowledgeable staff members are parents of children with disabilities or individuals with disabilities.
