About this video: On July 29, 2024, I rode Amtrak’s Pacific Surfliner from San Diego to Los Angeles and back with a stop in Fullerton on the way north. This video features the trains that I managed to capture during my (approximately) two-hour long stay at the Fullerton station on that day. Due to track work that was going on in the area at the time, there were many trains that had to pass through at a restricted speed (in addition to other trains that were being held for a more extensive period in the area). This resulted in a bit of a “traffic jam” of trains. A highlight of the afternoon was seeing one of BNSF’s old ATSF caboose/shoving platforms in action on a local job. Also, note that the announcement heard at 7:05 in the video refers to Amtrak train 777 (which I boarded at Fullerton) - I did not feature footage of this arrival as those videos will make an appearance in an upcoming upload. The rest of the footage that I got on 7/29/2024 will be posted in the coming days.
