THIS EPISODE: Predator (1987)

Predator (1987) is a sci-fi action film directed by John McTiernan, which follows a team of elite commandos on a mission in the Central America. Led by Major Alan "Dutch" Schaefer (played Arnold Schwarzenegger), the team is sent to rescue hostages from guerrilla forces deep in the jungle, but soon discovers they are being hunted by an advanced alien predator. The film's tension builds around the group as it's picked off one by one by the Predator and its terrifying abilities, making Predator a blend of action, horror, and sci-fi that was the trope setter for so many things in films to come.
