This song I call 'Mama' was recorded at the foot of Grandmother Cotton Wood
4 and some years prior to the recording of this song I sat beneath the same tree
I sat, and laid shaded by her towering trunk all day
It was all I could think to do to ground, regulate and come home to myself
I was gifted with this song as I was held by her
And so, it felt full circle to record this song, this gift in the same place
She holds me as I hold her
