Original version of Wild Is the Wind written by Dimitri Tiomkin & Ned Washington for the 1957 film of the same name. Originally performed by Johnny Mathis (born 1935).
It has subsequently been covered by several renowned musicians, most notably Nina Simone (1933–2003) in 1959 and David Bowie (1947–2016) in 1976.
