Rubio questioned about US-Israeli plan to takeover al-Aqsa Mosque

Описание: On Tuesday, US Senator Chris Van Hollen questioned US Secretary of State Marco Rubio about Middle East Eye’s report alleging that the US and Israel are “actively working” to strip Jordan of its custodianship of Al-Aqsa Mosque.
Under the reported plan, Israel would have a major say in the appointment of imams, preachers and senior mosque officials, and would also be involved in approving the content of Friday sermons.
