Today, Maria and I are trying something different. We are visiting a weekly food market in Mungul, Margao, South Goa. Fierce Market happens every Sunday from 9 am to 1 pm. They have many different food entrepreneurs bringing their dishes, so let’s see what we get. Today we are taking whatever we buy home and trying the food with Roma

We saw Japanese omelette, mutton kheema, chhole paratha, fresh produce, coconut oil, pickles, pulses, ash gourd sweets, homemade wines like strawberry, nutmeg, mixed fruit, fig and black grape wines, Bailey’s Irish Cream, fresh coconuts, plants, pies, cakes, pizzas, brownies, cupcakes, tomato and olive and cheese focaccia, zucchini pies, pulao, pizza, wings, puffs, chicken basket, barbecued chicken wings, stew, squid rechead fry, roast pork, chicken pan roll, prawn empadinhas, chicken cafreal roll, beef croquettes, prawn rissois, beef roulade, pork solantulem, Pasteis de Nata, tea cakes like passionfruit and apricot, millet-based sourdough breads, jujube wine, chicken chop, chicken cutlet, chicken xacuti, chicken sorpotel, tendli pickle, prawns mole, sannas and millet-based cookies.

We tried the chicken basket, zucchini pie, pizza, tomato, cheese and olive focaccia sandwich, squid rechead, pork roast, beef roulade and chicken wings. Frankly, we've enjoyed 90% of what we bought over there

This Fierce Market is a nice concept. Gives visibility and opportunity to local food entrepreneurs around Margao. It is definitely worth a visit. It is open in the evenings also daily
